Want to try bangs, but just can't get the courage ?

The fear is justifiable:  if you don't like them they could take years to grow out

And during the grow out stage you have to deal with the whoopty doos, spraying them down, trying to work them into the rest of your hair

On the other hand, they could totally level up your look

Try faux bangs, or a topper with bangs !

.•*´¨`*•. 12FS8 or 12FS12? (12Fs12, Malibu Blonde, Jon Renau California Blonde Collection) .•*´¨`*•.

.•*´¨`*•.  12FS8 or 12FS12?  .•*´¨`*•.

12FS8:

A bomb color if you're brunette wanting to go blonde.

Dark roots (the 8 in 12FS8) is lovely against olive skin, playing off dark brows and eyes

Means as a brunette you can totally go blonde, on a whim, temporarily, permanently.

12Fs8=  a brunette can carry off being blonde for a day, a date, a week, whatever you choose

It's a beautiful multidimensional color, platinum highlighted ends, dark root

Though NOT advised if you're a redhead, natural blonde, Scandanavian descent, or have pale fair skin, brows, lashes.

That's where 12FS12 comes in

The 12 root looks natural against our Scandi or pale skin.

Does NOT wash us blondies out like the dark brown root of 12Fs8 does

12FS12:  natural, flattering, plays off your brows, lashes, eyes and complexion as if you were born with this hair.

12FS12, Malibu Blonde:

🌿🌸🌿 🐰 Reasons Why: 🌿🌸🌿 🐰

Reasons to Try Faux Hair:

To get out the door quick when you're short on time

To give your hair a break from chemicals

To switch things up with hubby or boyfriend

You want to see how you'd look with highlights, balayage, smudge/shadow root before taking the plunge/making the investment in time and $

Because today you feel: romantic (long beachy waves,)
like a competent/efficient take-charge woman (a short, sophisticated get-it-done "do,") sporty (swingy chin length style with bangs,) like a girly girl (corkscrew curls cascading down your shoulders,) studious (long straight hair in a bun)

You want to see how the world treats differently/how it feels to be a blonde/brunette/redhead

You want to make a new start

To avoid (damaging) hair extensions

You are miserable during the growing out phase of a bad haircut

To have a quick professional "do" for an interview, meeting, sales presentation

***+++ Blonde Lives Matter Series December 28, 2017 ***+++

***+++ Blonde Lives Matter Series December 28, 2017 ***+++

Today a friend was describing a manager she dislikes, finishing with
"of course he's blonde, what do you expect." (Her hair is a perfect style/color for the workplace, she SO looks like a get-it-done woman with her dark brown 1 1/2" length 'do.')

(The two of them work in a hospital in Newport Beach, you'd think they'd be easier on blonde folk, I guess not.)

Blondies can be at a disadvantage in a brunette world (until you've proved yourself/shown them how competent you are) in the work environment.

If your natural hair color is pale blonde PLEASE don't try dying it brown to fit in (can look HIDEOUS/frightening with pale skin.)

A suggestion:

Jon Renau's shaded sun is a color we can easily carry off (has platinum tipped ends.)

The roots are dark (putting our brunette peers at ease) with a progressive shading toward the ends.

It's less in-your-face than our natural all over pale hair (great for getting dates, can unleash unrestrained aggression from new (female) coworkers, why put yourself through it.)

Clone/find a style that matches your own hair, topperize per the directions in the previous post.

You're set for a business meeting, interview, first day of work. (Plus no standing in front of the bathroom mirror for a 1/2 hour with your elbow in the air making 'beachy waves,' you'll totally be on time, out the door in a flash (in about the same time it takes to put on a baseball cap.))

Shaded sun is a win/win, no stress, you'll look beautiful, + best chances with your new colleagues!!

Blonde Survival Kit, Blonde Lives Matter Series November 27, 2017

ChloesWigs caters to needs of natural blondes (less than 2% of the population, often overlooked.)

Heidi Klumm: "Going blonde is like buying yourself a lightbulb". Good or bad, you're getting mega attention wherever you go.

In some scenarios you have an edge. Chances are you never needed to use a dating app, you basically just need to go outside. Socially you're probably more than okay.

Though sometimes it's in your best interest to tone in down a bit, maybe blend in with the environment/people around you.

Find a style that mimics/is a clone of your own hair in cut, density, length.

Choose one of the following multidimensional, highlighted/rooted blondes:
27T613s8 (Shaded Sun,) 14/24s10 (Shaded Peaches & Cream,) 24BT18S8 (Shaded Mocha.) You can probably carry these shades off easily if you're a natural platinum blonde. They're gorgeous but not as attention-getting, eye catching as your bio hair.

You can topperize (cut off bottom weft, leaving your own hair down) using directions on previous post, or put your hair in a low ponytail, slide it under the wig.

ChloesWigs has your back, Blonde Lives Matter!

**  Blonde Lives Matter Series  November 2017  **

Blonde Survival Kit:

Need:

Wig that somewhat looks like your bio hair.

Small scissors

Bobby pins

Easy out-the-door hack when you're between salon visits, post bad hair cut, running late for work or meeting, no time to standin front of the mirror, elbow in the hair, curling iron in hand creating beachy waves:

Choose a wig that is a clone/mimics your own color/style/density (doesn't have to be perfect, people really don't look that close. Just something you feel comfortable in.)

Cut the back elastic/bottom weft off the wig, ear tab to ear tab.

Place wig over your own hair securing with strong clips, bobby pins, or ItStays on the hairline (whichever works best for you to secure)

In the time it takes to put on a baseball cap you're looking good, ready for the day, happy and stress free!

Cup hand over bangs to make hair form to shape of the roller.
Let dry at least an hour.
For the first few days use salt water texturizer spray as needed to deshine.
Enjoy your Stevie!

You've Got Hair Mail, What's Next? Part I

For Hair Newbies: You've Got Hair Mail, What's Next? Part I

I posted out-of-the-box Stevie this week (one of the most realistic styles made.)

She's low density, no pouf/close to the head, also a great starter wig for someone new to faux hair.

There is more to wearing hair than purchasing the right color/style for you, and this information is crucial: no matter how great the style is, (including Stevie,) you can't wear her as is, right out of the box.

Wigs can come with directions to shampoo or comb, I feel they should also come with the following instructions:

What you need to know:
A new wig will scare you if you take her out of the box, put her on, then look in the mirror (definitely a traumatic experience if youre new.) Once you follow these steps a few times you'll have your little routine down pat, like making coffee grabbing the mail, you'll do it out of habit whenever you get a new style.

It's not hard to get her ready-to-wear, all you need:

1.) Eye makeup (can be eye shadow or brow powder in a medium to dark brown shade.)

2.) Two small (but strong) clips

3.) Any salt water texturing spray ($7.00-$8.00)

4.) Helen of Troy hot air brush (about $18.00)

5.) Styrofoam wig head (about $5.00 at Sallys)

6.) T pins from Sallys about $2.00 (or you can use regular straight sewing pins used for hemming)

Directions:

1.) Put her on the wig head, part her/clip her back however looks best to you ( A new wig likes to hang straight in your face, the clips will "train" her, and keep her out of your face for the time being (plus giving it a touch of realism/and looks cute)

2.) Once its clipped how you like, use a little brush to give her "roots" with the makeup (also gives dimension and looks very natural/pretty)

3.) Use the hot air brush to make the bangs how you like

3.) Spray with the texturing spray as needed to decrease the shine. (This is only necessary for a few days to a week, by then the wig should be trained/deshined, not sure why/unavoidable, its all a just part of the process.)

4.) Wear her on errands, around the house for a few days (to settle her in and for you to learn to feel great wearing her.)

That's all there is to it, enjoy!

The Blonde Dilemma

Natural blondes: At 1-2% of the population, it is the least common hair color in the world. If you're a natural blonde your hair has two layers, is silky/fine textured, and lays close to your head.

99% of the styles available are great on brunettes, have some sort of "pouf" /are too thick, and just don't look right on those blonde folk.

I am glad someone created Stevie for blondies who need her for whatever reason, biding time between salon visits, need a break from extensions, bad hair cut, short on time to get ready for work..... this is one style we can count on. Stevie in vanilla lush, a cool blonde with no roots! To me this is the total package.

Stevie by Amore in Vanilla Lush Super long, supercute, easy to wear!

Vanilla lush fits right in here by the beach, a cool nordic blonde. If youre a natural blondie you'll love it, no roots, gorgeous shade!

Measured it from top of head to tips, came to about 21"

(Bangs 4", Crown: 17", Nape 18")

Dressed up or as-is, perfect for bonfire, walk on the pier, little dayhike.... latest go-to style!

Handtied cap, sturdy Amore fiber

One of the most realistic styles available in 2016.

Be ready for a LOT of attention!
