***+++ Blonde Lives Matter Series December 28, 2017 ***+++

Today a friend was describing a manager she dislikes, finishing with
"of course he's blonde, what do you expect." (Her hair is a perfect style/color for the workplace, she SO looks like a get-it-done woman with her dark brown 1 1/2" length 'do.')

(The two of them work in a hospital in Newport Beach, you'd think they'd be easier on blonde folk, I guess not.)

Blondies can be at a disadvantage in a brunette world (until you've proved yourself/shown them how competent you are) in the work environment.

If your natural hair color is pale blonde PLEASE don't try dying it brown to fit in (can look HIDEOUS/frightening with pale skin.)

A suggestion:

Jon Renau's shaded sun is a color we can easily carry off (has platinum tipped ends.)

The roots are dark (putting our brunette peers at ease) with a progressive shading toward the ends.

It's less in-your-face than our natural all over pale hair (great for getting dates, can unleash unrestrained aggression from new (female) coworkers, why put yourself through it.)

Clone/find a style that matches your own hair, topperize per the directions in the previous post.

You're set for a business meeting, interview, first day of work. (Plus no standing in front of the bathroom mirror for a 1/2 hour with your elbow in the air making 'beachy waves,' you'll totally be on time, out the door in a flash (in about the same time it takes to put on a baseball cap.))

Shaded sun is a win/win, no stress, you'll look beautiful, + best chances with your new colleagues!!

Blonde Survival Kit, Blonde Lives Matter Series November 27, 2017

ChloesWigs caters to needs of natural blondes (less than 2% of the population, often overlooked.)

Heidi Klumm: "Going blonde is like buying yourself a lightbulb". Good or bad, you're getting mega attention wherever you go.

In some scenarios you have an edge. Chances are you never needed to use a dating app, you basically just need to go outside. Socially you're probably more than okay.

Though sometimes it's in your best interest to tone in down a bit, maybe blend in with the environment/people around you.

Find a style that mimics/is a clone of your own hair in cut, density, length.

Choose one of the following multidimensional, highlighted/rooted blondes:
27T613s8 (Shaded Sun,) 14/24s10 (Shaded Peaches & Cream,) 24BT18S8 (Shaded Mocha.) You can probably carry these shades off easily if you're a natural platinum blonde. They're gorgeous but not as attention-getting, eye catching as your bio hair.

You can topperize (cut off bottom weft, leaving your own hair down) using directions on previous post, or put your hair in a low ponytail, slide it under the wig.

**  Blonde Lives Matter Series  November 2017  **

Blonde Survival Kit:

Need:

Wig that somewhat looks like your bio hair.

Small scissors

Bobby pins

Easy out-the-door hack when you're between salon visits, post bad hair cut, running late for work or meeting, no time to standin front of the mirror, elbow in the hair, curling iron in hand creating beachy waves:

Choose a wig that is a clone/mimics your own color/style/density (doesn't have to be perfect, people really don't look that close. Just something you feel comfortable in.)

Cut the back elastic/bottom weft off the wig, ear tab to ear tab.

Place wig over your own hair securing with strong clips, bobby pins, or ItStays on the hairline (whichever works best for you to secure)

In the time it takes to put on a baseball cap you're looking good, ready for the day, happy and stress free!
